Thanks guys. Bobby and I have finalized the details on repainting the car. It will be getting the full treatment. I will need to order some parts (drip rails, belt moldings, side moldings, and emblems) because the ones on the car will be coming off. I plan to wait for some Black Friday sales before ordering those parts. The window trim and side 1/4 windows will be removed as part of the body prep prior to paint (the plan will be to restore the windows I have if nicer OEM ones cannot be found for reasonable money).
It is a bit more of a project than I had intended to bite off at this time, but I told Bobby that I will never regret doing things the right way. The final result should look great. Being factory red SSP with a nice in-service history, it will certainly be an attention-getter. |

This just in from Bobby
Obviously this is not a great thing to see. I knew the paint on the hood was cracked, and now we can see why. Both Bobby and I are gonna look for a new hood. I hope the rest of the body is decent once Bobby takes off the paint. It WILL look great once the body and paint are done!
As an aside, the museum received my payment today for the radio equipment and magnetic decals, so those should be shipped soon. |

Thanks for the teaser pics, Bobby! I like the shot of the driver's side because of the GSP car in the upper left corner of the photo. The PCSD car will look awesome when it is completed. I only hope it's not gonna be too nice to drive.

Too nice to drive? That's what cars are made for, regardless of the condition.
