Default SSP Display/Prop's

Here is an original Motorola brick Phone ....early to mid 80's Vintage (((the original hand
held cell phone))) and the perfect PROP for the early to mid 80's SSP Mustang.
At a show people will know what it is (or not)? Allot of these have made their way to the
land fill and have since been replaced by the (ON YOUR EAR) I am a crazy
person..talking to myself in the grocery store Phones.
I will have this in the trunk of my car ready to display on the dash or passenger seat at the
next show (as a prop) empty donut boxes belong in the land fill and not as a prop for your
SSP. any other era correct car show Prop Ideas?
I know this was not a CHP issued item but is definitely 80's Era correct. and I am sure that
from time to time these were used as a supplement to the CHP Radio system.

Do you thing those phones could still be used? Their reception was a lot better than the ones we use now.

Answer your question.

Will it still work? No!

The government law requiring cell phone service providers to stop analog service went into effect last week. There is no longer analog cell phone service therefore the "brick" can no longer be used. This discontinuation of analog cell phone service has been in the works for 2 years and will free up additional frequencies for other communications.
