Finally got my new driver back together and took it for a short ride. It's not very pretty right now but it's 99% complete. Here are some before pics.

 Wow. Nice save on that one. Waiting for the after pics.  BTW Doug, Do you happen to have any of the base, 14 inch steel wheels on any of your parts cars (14 x 5.5)?

The first thing I did when I got it home from Missouri was take it to the frame shop. I bought it site unseen from Don Hawkins knowing the condition it was in. I didn't buy it to restore but to use as my daily driver. As luck would have it, most of the SSP stuff was still with the car like the glove box door, panel with the remote trunk release, and stuff like that. It was far too rough to restore so I don't feel bad about some mods that I did to it. I'm going to leave it red and plan to put the spots & black 10 holes on later. Just going to have fun with it for now. Will post more about the car later. Doug

Excellent work so far... I am sure you will enjoy it just the same as it is or restored. Great save from the crusher for sure.

The car looks great and you can fool me that it could not have been restored. It is on the road to a great restoration or just a FUN car.

Wow, that's looking good! I saw that car sitting behind Hawkins house about 2 years ago and remember thinking it was a heap.
