Relisting due to non-paying bidder. Please have funds available before you bid. Most banks will not make a loan on a vehicle this old! Selling my retired 1989 Georgia State Patrol Mustang SSP-LX. The car is in very good condition overall and could be a daily driver. The original color was GSP blue and gray as per the buck tags that are still attached to the radiator support. The drive train on the car is completely stock and original to the car. No modifications other than the transmission being rebuilt. Still has the smog pump and catalytic convertors. The 5.0 engine has 95,104 miles at present and runs good with no problems. The auto trans has been rebuilt by a competent transmission shop and shifts fine. The rear end has the stock 2.73 gears. The body and frame of the car are solid. Repainted a few years ago but still looks good. Paint has a few blemishes but nothing major. There's a 3 inch crease on the bottom of the driver's door that's not that noticeable and a hole in the right rear tail light lens (see photos). The interior is nice and original. The roll bar is in place and has the Motorola siren still under the left front fender. AC blows cold and has been converted to 134A. Has a new battery and new fuel pump in the tank. The only things that don't work are the map light and the power door lock switch. Car has five Goodyear GT tires on the original ssp wheels. This is a rare car! The State of Georgia only had 310 SSP Mustangs in service and of those there were only forty-two 1989 models. Payment due within three days of the end of the auction. Feel free to call or text me if you have any questions. Bruce 912-614-9955.
On Feb-21-17 at 02:07:13 PST, seller added the following information:
Forgot to mention that the car still retains the original single key for the ignition, door locks and trunk lock. Also, the car was stationed out of Dalton, Ga. Post 5, Trooper T.D. Williams-Badge #679. Sold on 6-30-1994 with 69,246 miles to the city of Brunswick, Ga. They then used the car on Jekyll Island as a Parks & Recreation vehicle until it was auctioned off in 2002.
