Thumbs up Check this FHP pic out

I'm sure Jim will enjoy it.....line-up of the 40 or so "high performance" patrol cars that hit the road in 1983 for FHP. They even threw the T/A in the mix.

I wonder which was faster, the T/A or the Mustang. Both had to be slow compared to today.

I'm sure they were....but I wonder how many T/As they used? I have another shot of the cars lined up, and that one is the only one I see. Neat car, but of course, the Mustangs lined up next to it are the real treat.

Yea, I might even have to have the Mustang over that 301 Pontiac. Yuk. Cool pic for sure. I think the WSP used a couple T/A's as well.

You know anything about them? I think Mike R. has a pic of one of the WSP cars in the gallery, and someone said that they got them from Alaska HP? Pontiac did not offer a late-model (stretching the definition) police package, correct?

No, I dont believe they ever made a police package T/A. I bet this stems from the CHP using 1978 Z28's as a test. Other people jumped on the band wagon and with the popularity of Smokey and the Bandit I bet they thought the T/A was a real interceptor.

I actually saw the WSP T/A either in a book or over on the other board. You believe they got them from the Alaska HP? Dang, what would Alaska do with them. lol

I remember reading that they got them from Alaska somewhere...not sure where. My better half has always wanted one of those T/As....maybe I can hook her up with an FHP version.
