Default CHP 0594

The "tail hook" CHP car has been sold and is headed to York PA where the new owner plans a complete restoration. I believe he will be joining here at some point next week when the car is delivered.

My SSP fleet reduction is final.....for now anyway.

They're selling quickly! Can't wait to see this one come back to life.

Hi everyone. I am the new owner of 0594. I've had the car for about 2 weeks and it is running once again. I'm new to Ford's so this is a learning experience. Next things on the to do list are brakes and probably a new clutch. I will keep you posted.

Welcome to the site. It sounds like Jim found a great buyer for this SSP. I know that we all will enjoy watching (and encouraging) your progress.

Hi guys. Progress over the winter was slow but I did make progress. Clutch was messed up. Somebody had done a poor job of trying to replace it. Disc and pressure plate were like new still. Throwout bearing was seized. Replaced just the bearing and had the flywheel resurfaced. Seems to be good now. Rack and pinion and all the power steering lines were replaced. It was leaking everywhere. Starter went bad, so replaced that as well. Repaired leaky exhaust manifolds too. Replaced a leaky wheel cylinder. Lastly, pulled the differential cover, checked the health of the gears and filled it with new fluid. Mechanically, it is road worthy again. I'll need to drive it around some to verify that it's OK. If everything checks out, it'll be on to body and paint.

Glad to hear of all the progress, Frank. One day there will have to be a meeting of the '82's. Yours will be the 7th or 8th restored one when completed.

0594 looks almost identical to 0327. Both painted white, both with the hood scoop painted black, etc.
