What documents did you get for the unit number?

jarhed,
I have the buck tags and ran the car fax showing two accidents by the FHP in the car. I have the case numbers too. I talked to my friend who owned the car and he remembered the car number immediately. He said he still has the original key around with the 858 still stamped on it. It has all the other signs of being an FHP car. Tan interior, holes in dash, antenna holes ect... I've known the car since like 1990 or 91 when my friend first got it.
I have the VIN and carfax if it helps.
The car has been off the road for at least 13 years. I'm in the middle of the motor rebuild and want to get it running and driving before I paint it.
I cant wait to drive it ! thanks ! Steve

good stuff. It is always good when you can figure that stuff out. makes for a nice resto with the correct numbers on the roof too.
