Default Auction on my old X-Harper Woods PD Mustang

As many of you may remember, in March 2012 I bought a 2006 Mustang GT from the Harper Woods, Michigan Police Department. This car was stolen two weeks after we brought it home, as discussed here:

The car was recovered by my insurance company, who now has the car listed for sale:

Bidding ends on July 10th. Since we used the insurance money to help buy a replacement Mustang prior to this one being recovered, I have no intention of bidding. Keep in mind that the car does have an undiagnosed mechanical issue which left it on the side of the road the night it was stolen, so bid accordingly. Although the lights remain in the car, they are disconnected/inoperable. It would be nice to see this car find a good home, in case anyone here is interested. Feel free to spread the word if you know of anyone who may enjoy a unique car like this.

Really want that, but I don't have that kind of money. If a member doesn't buy the car, you will most likely never see the car again.

I watched a Shelby convertible that was the same style as the 06 sell on copart for 10k, and it was hit hard in the front end and the side.

Well, it appears as though the Copart auction has been removed from their site. I have no idea why, since the auction wasn't scheduled to end until Tuesday, July 10, 2012. The last time I checked the bidding was up over $6,500, so who knows what happened???

EDIT: My insurance agent told me that the car was auctioned off for roughly $7,400
