Default Anyone know what this is???

Anyone know what this is used for it is attached to the brake pedal? It is on a 1987 Chp mustang.

??? Some kind of anti-theft device? A previous owner must have installed?

I was thinking maybe the same thing as they have those kinds of devices to secure the brake pedal. My guess was that it went to one of those.

After looking at it, it is an old after market Dana cruise control system. It even has a magnetic sensor on the driveshaft, but it is missing the vaccuum diaphram and controls. Mystery solved....
