Default SCHP Remington 870 Shotguns.

FYI, the S.C. Highway Patrol has began selling their old Remington shotguns through a local gun shop in Columbia. The shotguns have been used for many, many years and would be period correct for anyone restoring an SCHP mustang. The guns have SCHP engraved on the receiver and are very used in condition, but nothing that couldn't be fixed. The address below is for the gun shop that is selling them.

Palmetto Distributors / Dana Safety Supply
4601 Broad River Rd - Columbia, SC 29210
Office (803)798-3670

That's interesting. Thanks for sharing that info. I would assume that the barrel length is long enough for civilians to own them.

Yes, they are available for anyone who isn't a felon to purchase. I bought one and I plan on purchasing my issued one as well..

I called yesterday, and they were $225 as I recall and they only had 8 left. They would not sell one to me without a SC driver's license (as a walk-in). Also, they would not ship to a legitimate, FFL-licensed gun dealer in my state either. No sale.
