Default Idaho SSP

I Purchased an 88 Coupe SSP from my friend this July. He did not know much about the history of this car, but referred me to the Ebay info and article on Bring a Trailer ad back from Dec 2015 when he bought the car. The original seller listed it as an Oregon Police car, but when working on the headlights last night I saw the buck tags. I pulled them to take pictures. It lists Police DSO Idaho on the second tag and DSO 76-0064. So this would make me think it was an Idaho SSP.

The SSP VIN list on this SSP show Oregon ( no agency confirmation ) with a different DSO number. I confirmed the DSO code of 76-0064 as it matches the code on the VIN tag. Besides a CarFax is there a way to verify what agency actually used the car? How does one find history of their SSP?

Need to know which VIN you're referring to in the VIN Project, and also need to see pics of your door and buck tags.

I thought that's what the VIN might be. I discussed this with Bill and he is aware of your tags and the DSO discrepancy and agency useage, so he'll get the page updated.

Since the DSO tag says "IDAHO" that probably means Idaho State Police.

Yes I think it was Idaho State Police. It has the same Roll Hoop that was department requirement as seen on other SSP from Idaho.

I will start doing more research after the holidays. It would be nice to know a little more history about this car.

Thanks for your help.
