Default CHP unit # on door

Anyone know what color paint pen (I'm assuming it is a paint pen) the CHP unit #'s written in above the door stickers were? Any info or if I'm assuming wrong corrections would be appreciated... Mines still there but has been painted over and until I have more info I'm afraid to mess with it...

Mine was in black pen and I could make out the number prior to attempting to removing paint. I used a little compound and rubbed the hell out of it and it soon appeared!!!

write the number down and after you paint the car write the number back on. you can buy a paint pen (black) at any hobby store.

Thanks, That was my plan, but I didn't know what color it was originaly. Mine had been painted blue then blacked out ( I guess the orange was such a cheapy paint job it didn't include jams! LOL). But thanks for the info and pics!!!
