Default 11/01/2011 Update

Gentlemen, I just spoke with Robert, and he confirmed that he was NOT able to find the following cards:

851963
870559
408337

The following cards are currently being searched for:

389583
895333
408362

EDIT: I just checked the Excel sheet I use to keep track of the card requests. Presently, not including the 3 cards listed above, there have been card requests on 29 CHP vehicles (not just Mustangs). Of those, only 12 cards have been found and forwarded to the owners, and 5 have only been seen via FAX. So we're seeing about a 58% success rate so far. Let's hope the next three will bring up the average slightly.

Thanks... All I new was the# written on my drivers door. I noticed you've added 38 as the prefix to my unit #. So would my tag read E389583 ? If so how were you able to determine that? Thanks again for all you've done for this hobby.

Darn...
I was hoping that since my car (8337) might have been sold in the mid to late 90s that the card may still have existed. Looks like it definately doesnt now. Oh well, thanks for trying Bill! You are a great help
Is there anyway I can get a blank card? Would it be illegal to recreate my card (with the info I have and info I may learn in the future)? I don't think that has been done before

That's an educated guess at this point, which was done by looking for other 1990 CHP cars. mac88chp (Michael) chimed in on your car to help me determine the first two numbers. But I'm not 100% certain at this point. There were years where more than one prefix was used by the CHP, where the number of plates given to the CHP to issue was determined by California DMV. For example, we know that some earlier 1982's were 85xxxx, but the run of 1982 SSP's had 87xxxx numbers.

Oh ok well thanks just the same, more than I had lol. Maybe your contact can find it's card :-) I've still got my fingers crossed... Are the late 80's and 90's turning up more than the four eyed one's? Just curious... Thanks, once again

Searches for the 82-88 cards have been more successful than the latter years. There's no rhyme or reason to it. I tried to copy and paste from the Excel sheet I use to keep track of the requests, but the data does not post well in a format that's easy to read on a forum.

Hi Bill, just wondering if your contact has had any luck on finding any of those last assignment cards? Mine in particular lol :-)
Glad Thanks, Bobby
