Default Speakers for 1986 ssp

What speakers are you guys using for a 1986 ssp? Are you guys putting a speaker in the middle section too or just the 2 front?

Part numbers would help. Also how do the dash pad caps look? I was thinking about putting one over my old one either that or buying a repo?

Thanks

Matt

After reading very mixed reviews about the dash caps, my expectations were pretty low. I was pleasantly surprised with the results. Installation was probably the easiest thing I've done to the car yet.

Give me a little bit and I'll see if I can find some before and after pictures for you.

Looks great! I wish I had done that instead of getting an aftermarker replacement pad, which IMO doesn't look as nice as that cap.

I bought it from 50resto.com, although I'm sure that there are other places that sell them.

It came with a tube of silicone (to be applied to certain places sparingly), but it fit so well I haven't used it. I just basically slid it into place.

Keep in mind that it's plastic, so the feel is different from a dashpad--or at least I imagine so (my original dashpad had become pretty brittle).

Looks great and way better than those $200 repro pads.
