Default 86 SSP takes first!

Took my SSP to the biggest one-day car show in Minnesota yesterday and took first place in the Professional Class. There were over 500 cars in the Gopher State Buick Club's 21st Annual show. The professional class had about 20 vehicles including ambulances, fire trucks and hearses. I have never owned a car that has created more conversations and was the object of picture taking than this one. There is a classic car auction here next weekend (150 cars) and the owner of the auction company saw my SSP yesterday and wanted to know if I would display it with a 70 Boss 302, 70 Boss 429, and a 68 Shelby KR500 at the auction. I said yes, as I was already going to the auction (my car club was going to do some of the driving of the cars to and from the stage). I have a sign for shows with some history on my SSP and SSPs in general, so the SSP community will be getting some exposure this weekend. And yes Jim, I state on my sign that my GSP is actually a CSP.

I did not bring my camera, but someone posted these shots from the show on another site, so the thread is no longer useless!

Are those fogs next to the front tag? I've never seen that before. Is that correct? Any close ups?

Here is a better shot of the front with covers off. The car was originally a Colorado State Patrol car that was cloned to Georgia State Patrol by the previous owner. So far I don't think any in-service '85-'86 GSP ssp pics have surfaced. They did start using SSP Mustangs in '83, but I think they skipped a few years.

The lights are blue wig wags (not fog lights) and were used on the 1983 GSP on the cover photo of Popular Science (or Mechanics, don't have it front of me) back in the 80's. I have not seen a photo of an 86 GSP, but I assume if they used them in 83, then they might have used them if they bought 86s. They look good with the blue light rack and blue paint scheme.
