89 Arizona SSP Question
Well I finally took my 89 SSP for a spin today and the suspension is rock hard. My other SSPs rode the same as a regular stang. Did Arizona upgrade the suspension at all ( maybe because of the 90 lb push bumper )? The car is 100% stock.

Just from your description I'd say the front struts are your problem. The suspension should be firm - not rock hard. Check the tire pressure as well, it dosen't take much over the recommended pressure to make a Mustang ride rough.

i had the same issue with that low mile 92 i had. the guy i bought it from took the low mile struts out for aftermarkets. when we put everything back to oem, the original struts went back in. they must have been stored too long sideways and went bad.
i can't even begin to tell you how rock hard my front suspension was....totally aweful. new struts made it feel like new again. |
