Default Mystery EVOC...

So, I found a picture of one of the CHP EVOCs in a Highway Patrolman mag my dad has. Figured it was the 1985 car. Took a picture of it.

But, if you look at it, 1984 wheels, 1984 belt moulding, no hoodscoop, so it can't be the 1982, has ford emblem in the center of the bumper(not 1982). Does have a roll cage.

So, there is an 1984 EVOC CHP out there...but where...

1982 (before evoc) -

1984 -

1985 (white sail panel means it is not an 1986 model) -

1988 -

1989 -

1992 -

So, where is the mystery evoc? Who can answer that?...

Most likely an 84, since they would have just pulled one of the first new mustangs for use on the track just like the others.

Also, during our tour of the Acadamy, I came across this picture in the small museum in the front lobby.

That picture has been posted in the "articles" section here since we went online in '06. I was told it was the wrecked '85, but it does look like the '84 front nose and moldings.

Question is, did you know what it was?

Mike, my dad has a perfect copy of the issue with the 84 on the front. Saw that the one in the articles wasn't as nice. Have a couple other CHP mags with mustangs on or in them that aren't in the articles section. If you would like scans of them we wouldn't have a problem doing so and allowing them to be put up on the site.

Oh, and the picture I posted of the trooper, he is next to our EVOC

Sure, send me scans of any we don't have up and I'll add them. The scans that are up are ones that I personally collected over the years, and some are in better shape than others.
