Oregon Sheriff 2008 Mustang
Not a true SSP but Marion County uses a few Mustangs for I-5 duty around Salem area. These had yellow and brown stripes on side and were slick tops -can see 'E' plate marks on rear shot. Used unmarked maroon, black and silver cars but most white ones were marked. Have seen them using a silver and red 2011 or 2012 5.0's now. IIRC Tom Vigil has pics of them in service.

I can't tell using my phone's browser, but do the side mirrors have lights in them?

Kinda... got duct tape covering the holes in the side mirrors, one pic is a close up of side mirror. Just noticed the white GT with black stripes parked behind it in first pic... interesting. Only 20 miles away maybe I'll head that way tomorrow and take a look and some pics.

Might have something wrong with it for them to be getting rid of it with that amount of miles. They usually keep their cars until 140k-180k miles. Nice car though. Marion usually buys 2 mustangs each year and in white. The maroon and black cars are OSP.
Here are the 2 Marion Co. '04 Mustang GTs that were bought by Josephine Co. They were turn key cars (with the exception of police radios). I have counted close to 30 lights. I want my dad to try and buy one or both of them when they go up for sale. If we did get them, I would like to buy white LEDs (or some other legal color) to fill all the holes. JoCo added the bumper LEDs. They are NOT clown cars This is one before it went to JoCo. Then here they both are (plates were changed) I feel these mustangs will be like the Pierce County Mustangs or any other agency patrol cars. The cars will disappear and no longer exist |

The last maroon Mustang I saw on I-5 by Salem that had someone pulled over about a month ago had a Sheriff's Deputy writing the ticket. Thinking they got more than just white ones too.

Oh...they exist! I have 2 of them in my garage as I type this. And between my other 2 buddies they have the other 3 cars known left to exist in private hands + the 1 in-service still as a parade car.

A few pics from Tom's Flickr account through a Google search - likely of the EBay car when in-service. Cool eh?
