Default Possible Unit Number LSP?

I was closely examining all the interior parts for any evidence and found this marking on the inside of the driver side quarter plastic. It reads C224 which seems as though it could be unit 224 from troop c?
I was thinking maybe they marked it when it was apart for wiring purposes?

Has anyone seen this type of marking from the factory?
Thanks, Ted

I remember 20+ years ago it was common for folks to remove a piece of interior trim and use a magic marker to write an identifying mark. It could be a name, a phone number, or even a symbol. The idea was that if a car was stolen and recovered, that it could be identified by the previous owner.

The CHP supposedly wrote the unit number in several places on their cars. Perhaps that's what was done in your case, and they wrote the unit number there?
