Default WTB CHP or Ca SSP Mustang

I'm looking to buy a CA SSP (Santa Clara car?) or CHP Mustang. Ideally would be in good original or refurbished condition that could be driven anywhere with most original equipment included. I'd like to avoid the typical CL beat to hell modified rats. I know, get in line right?

Willing to pay up to $10k for the right car. Thanks for keeping an eye out for me.

Welcome! In case you are unaware, you will not be able to drive a CHP car in California if it is fully restored as a B&W. The laws there prohibit that. You could however have an SSP in a solid color, or with just the roof painted white, like this one -

SSPs pop up for sale somewhat frequently, so be patient for the one that fits your needs the best...

Thanks Bill I am aware so yes a solid color car would make it drivable without concerns. I used to deliver marked police fleet vehicles up and down the coast so I'm familiar with the regs and caution needed. A restored B/W would be very cool but I would want to drive it more than to/from a show. I used to own a 1985 SSP LTD II (sorry the only available pic I have of it at the moment attached) and always wanted a CHP pursuit Mustang so hunting now. White with black out wheels is just so menacing and was a familiar sight for me back in the day in addition to the plentiful black and whites. I used to see the Santa Clara SSP's on the road too as I worked in that area at the time. I'll keep patient but thought I'd finally post up here to let the group know my intentions in case someone has one stashed away they'd consider selling.
