In Florida you can't lock the radar with a current speed. Not sure if I got the right message out but one can't get a reading on the radar and lock those numbers down to show the speeder or who ever. I see were the "F" can come into play I just have not noticed it.

You can lock the speed in, you just aren't supposed to, and you aren't required to, as in some other states.

FL DHSMV puts out a list of "approved" radar units and the Trooper, KR-10, KR-10SP, MPH K-55 and F models were all on there.

I haven't personally seen an F model in use, but it looks like it'll work. (unless you want one that lights up)

If it's the right guy on eBay, those are actual out-of-service FHP units with the DHSMV stickers removed.

The MPH were really crappy, from what the guy told me.
