Thumbs up Getting Started On The 88 Texas DPS

This is Texas DPS unit M8-545. It was my first SSP and ive had it for quiet some time but now its time to go through it and get it running. I intend to drive this car regularly. Ive almost got it stripped down now and i need to start recording the progress. On the way to black and white!

I like it
Is it going to be just black with a white roof, or white hood trunk and roof, or just the roof white with the undersides of the hood and trunk white also?
Tx DPS is slowly becoming my second favorite police color scheme I would want a crown vic or an 83(?) SSP someday

Hood roof and decklid will be white with the hood and trunk painted underneath. Its a ton of work. Ive found 5 coats of paint that are not easy to get through.
I truly favor the black and whites no matter what state. Its the american tradition for a police car. Someday i will have an 86 Tx car. Until then........

That's going to be super nice once you have it done. Please continue to document your restoration here with pictures.

If you plan on going back to an Auto, I may have something you might want to by.
