2023 Show Season

What show would be the best event for SSP owners to meet up this year? We did Ford Nationals last year, so maybe something else this time? Still, I really enjoyed Foxtoberfest and Ponies In The Smokeys (PITS) from the year before. Or perhaps an MCA show?

I posted a link to this thread on the site's FB page. Many folks are talking about Foxtoberfest in October. I have not seen the confirmed dates listed for this year. Once that happens we should make our hotel reservations. Embassy Suites again?

The Toledo, OH Police Museum's Cops N' Rodders show is Sunday, June 11th. This must be the 8th one or so and it's quite a nice large show. Always has a nice contingent of vintage police cars from owners located around the midwest and upper midwest. I've been to all but 1 of them and my son and I will be attending this year.

Metro Detroit has the 22nd annual Ferndale (Michigan) Emergency Vehicle Show, as part of the world known Woodward Dream Cruise on Friday, August 18th in Mustang Alley. Includes an escorted lights and siren cruise up/down Woodward Avenue, at the end of the show (right after the ribbon cutting for the Woodward Dream Cruise). The next day on Saturday, August 19th is the Mustang Alley Show and is sponsored by Ford Motor Company and will include well over 1,000 Ford Mustangs. And the following day on Sunday, August 20th is MOCSEM's (Mustang Owners Club of Southeastern Michigan) Mustang Memories All-Ford Show. This year marks the return of the show to Ford World Headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan after Ford paused these events there during the Pandemic. This show attracts over 1,000 vehicles with 90% being Mustangs. Various events are going on all week leading up; to the Friday, Saturday and Sunday festivities.

Metro Detroit offers a lot of bang for your buck every year during this time period. Thought I'd throw this out there, for those who are unaware of it. We've had several members on this forum make the visit and all have very positive experiences to share.

Foxtoberfest is next month (October 10th-14th) in Charlotte, NC. I think there will be a fair amount of SSP guys in attendance. I will be there too!

Looking ahead, there is talk about having the SSP fans attend the MCA Show Birmingham, AL in April 2024. There's a Mustang museum not too far there as well.
