Default Emblems installed...

This vehicle served both in a marked and unmarked capacity. Continuing with the marked theme. Had the emblems permanently installed today, utilizing the marked in-service pics of this very SSP. Thankfully the pics provided reference in order to re-install each emblem in the exact locations as originally placed on it. Elected to utilize the 60 year anniversary emblem as depicted in one of the marked in-service pics of this SSP. They really look great with the contrast on the twilight blue paint with light blue pin stripe.

Over the winter will continue to acquire some pieces to rework somewhat the interior emergency equipment and antennas for a 1990 MSHP setup.

A quick update...I have been able to acquire any equipment and antenna items that need to be added or changed. Going to replace the heater core and a few other items on my list before the equipment gets reworked. Expect to have it out in the show fields this summer. Here's hoping for an early spring...we deserve it.

Default Update...

Sorry no pictures for this post, but I do have a progress update. A number of items have been addressed. I bought it aware the heater core needed to be replaced, and that has been accomplished with a Ford heater core and new hoses. The chrome headers are gone and replaced with reproduction exhaust manifolds for a 1990 Mustang. A number of engine electrical items addressed. The MSHP did not buy the optional blue hoses, so those have been replaced with black ones. The smog parts were removed previously and those old parts came with the car and have been reinstalled. A number of other odds and ends too. Next up...emergency equipment install. This winter I have acquired the equipment needed. Thank you.

Default Moving right along...

Another quick update that I expect to have this one back to an in-service spec condition the end of the first week of June. The last piece of equipment is an MSHP period correct Code 3 LP6000 lightbar with the metal rotators, that is due to arrive in about a week. I'll be sure to post a number of photos of the SSP after the equipment's installed.

Default Teaser Tuesday

OK here's some Teaser Tuesday pics...should be "completed" tomorrow (well, you know what I mean, are they ever really completed) and will soon debut it at a show in Missouri. Pics are too large to upload to this forum, so I have attached a link here you can view a few http://public.fotki.com/MOstang/must...-to-mshp-in-s/ .

MSHP style custom brackets and some of the equipment stack mounted. That Code 3 lightbar / siren control box with air horn delete is a tough piece of equipment to find.

This SSP served in multiple configurations (both marked and unmarked) and I'm amazed how many holes are in the dash. I'm guessing some of the holes added by owners after the MSHP sold off the car, but I don't know for sure. It had a Code 3 light on the dash and a dash cam when the car was unmarked and I suspect some of the vertical holes under the front glass are associated with that equipment, but similarly don't know that for certain. The pics I have of 1990 MSHP SSPs where you can see the front radar seem to have a variety of ways in which the front radar antenna is situated. I'm unsure if they way I have it now will be a short term or longer term setup, will see as the install progresses and beyond.

Hopefully more pics to share with you tomorrow . Thank you.

VERY NICE! From the teaser pics, that looks to be a lot of equipment to sort out. I'm sure the car will look great.
