Default 1986 mustang ssp quarter panel replacement

Got a lead on a 86 ssp for cheap, problem is the rear quarter is kinda beat up, how hard is it to replace? And whats the cost usually? Before I let it out of the bag it seems like a killer deal pending the quarter panel replacement....

Probably not cheap, but I think it is worth saving. The car is in the VIN project BTW, I sent it in a few weeks back. Definitely a rare on and the price is right. I'd bet on spending a couple grand pretty easily for body work though. Then paint.

Well it was a no go, the quarter panel is beyond messed up, and the rocker and the door have been hit too.. Its a clean car, very very little rust other than that, and is a true ssp. Just too big a project that i dont want to take on. THanks for your help chris

It's sad when you come across one that's truly too far gone to save like that. If you got any additional pictures, post them up just for documentation.
