The 82 got away...
Well that 82 CHP down in california in a wrecking yard that my dad had arranged to buy was sold off. We had been waiting for the lien sale work to be done, but the yard owner received the title in the mail one day recently. A couple days after that someone with a truck and trailer came in and offered $800 for the car to turn into a drag car. Yard owner took it without calling my dad. My dad found this out yesterday from his friend who has a lot next to the yard. We were going to pull the car behind his fence when we went to Ripon, but we didn't have the combo for the lock on the gate.
Keep a look out those of you on other mustang forums. It was the maroon car I had posted a long time ago. Here's a couple pictures Door off different car, but still has a vin to verify same car if seen |

Just curious ...
Why the two digit DSO and 9D paint code? Were all 82's CHP's like that? I thought they had six digit DSO's also? Sorry to here it got away... hopefully it'll turn up forsale soon, before any real harm is done.

First of all, that sucks. Second, for someone who does not know or care of this car's history, $800??? That's a lot of money!

If they are going to pay that much for a car, it will survive. Someone looking for a parts car or oval track car would try and get it for cheaps.
