Default FHP Door Molding ??

I've seen several photos of door tags for FHP cars in members photo links and also from the tech section. Something I've noticed with the FHP cars is that the door tags have "XXX" for the molding which many areas say is for "molding delete". However every picture I've seen for an FHP either restored or in service have door moldings.

What am I missing here?

thanks, Ron

Although most of the VC Labels I have seen for aero cars are SSPs, I have seen some for non-SSPs. The "XXX" MLDG code is not limited to SSPs. Saleen 89-0677 (LX hatchback) also has the XXX code. Only '87 through '89 VC Labels have that code. And in the case of SSPs, ALL '87 through '89 VCLs that I have seen have XXX, not just FHPs. Whom ever or where ever you have read/seen that says XXX = molding delete I think is incorrect.

Model years '90 and later use a single letter for the MLDG code, even FHPs.
