The PAR46 decklights are appropriate for '82 - '92 models with '92 being the transition year for the later Federal Signal decklights. The blue PAR46 was introduced in 1984.

Just a minor nit on the bracket for the blue light -as it is shown here and in the restoration document it's not the same type that was commonly employed on the Mustangs. The more correct type is an "L" bracket that mounts entirely on the top of the package shelf and orients the connection end of the light toward the sailpanel rather than toward the center of the car:

In any case, the correct blue light bracket is quite simple and shouldn't be hard to have fabbed up.

The Micor and CCA/MPA2 setup is good for the '82-'88 models, with '88 being the transition year to the GE Rangr setup.

If I was needing CHP equipment, I'd jump right on what Matt is offering here.

Mike,

You are right about the bracket for the passenger side light. I've seen several different styles of brackets, and I've personally had three different versions that came from Rob Read at CHP.

Check out the difference, as an example, in the magazine pic you posted above for the bracket holding the red and amber.

The bracket is much shorter (like the passenger side one in the same pic), than yours, or the one that was on my '82 (bottom of the pic below).

Mine had the longer bracket, which isn't shown in the Resto doc. The existing holes line up perfectly.

Anyone should be able to take Matt's bracket and move the upright over to make it work.
