this article the Miami Herald published back in 09/11/1983 looks like talking about when FHP first got their Mustangs. It's just the header as you haver to pay for the full article, but found it interesting the reporter saying once the trooper hit 4th gear, the car hit 140 mph (sounds like he was riding with the trooper). The media would crucify FHP if they did that with them today... ahhh, the good 'ole days.
