Question Map Pocket Again!!!

Ok so this is the door on the 85 CHP Car before paint and a year + ago

and this is a Map pocket that i bought the other day in a Mustang salvage yard
in Phoenix...
The car is in Idaho so i can not put the two together at this time......
in looking at the holes on the door and the BEND tabs on the back of the pocket
what other differences will i encounter? The map pocket came from a 87+ car
anyone done do dis?

Also i have looked at ALLOT of these cars looking for this pocket!
and most of the time the cars did not have um so i was happy to find this one!

It looks like that boneyard piece is from a '90-'93 car as the '87-'89 door panels didn't have door pockets. Those later pockets have big heavy pleats and only a single center snap which makes them sag like crazy after a short time. It also looks much different than your original pocket so why not just take the panel to an upholstery shop and have them redo that area instead?

Michael ....... how you see the door is how i got the car (my car)..... I NEVER had a
map pocket ever! the map pocket that the picked up in Arizona is the ONLY map
pocket that i have ever seen on a junk yard salvaged car so... it will have to do for
now.
this is a picture that i used as reference of what i need...... my pocket looks like this except for a snap off set from center.
this is a picture of a friend's 88 GT Door w/map pocket's! i took this pict so I would know what to look for.

I see how you could make that one work then. Gotta be a tough item to find...I'll keep my eyes peeled for any for 'ya when I'm out in the yards.

Found this door panel on Ebay but it has power windows. Nice map pocket anyway.
