You're correct, the '84s are rare ones indeed and I think it's safe to assume this one's led a hard life. Too bad the original motor is gone, could be restored but it'll take some significant bucks.

Yep original motor is gone and it's also EFI now. At least that's what he states in the ad. Would be nice to have the best of both worlds. 84 coupe with real SEFI from the later models.

I don't see why he would go through the trouble of converting it to EFI, when he could have changed the EFI intake out easy enough. Unless he really wanted fuel injection.

I'm sure it's beat to death but when the Chippy's drove it they beat the crap out of it also. Maybe the car likes it by now.
