Rico…in looking at the DSO from Seattle and Anacorte…I am thinking that they meant to put Anacortes, WA and goofed.

Here are the pics:

Someone here may be able to run a check on the records and see if it was ordered with any others in a consecutive batch.

You may also try contacting the Anacortes PD and see if they had any Mustangs.

thank you fellow members.. finally digging into this SSP for some intel.. thanks Rhino for the suggestion in regards to calling the Anacortes of Washington PD to see if they had any police vehicles.. i spoke to a retired police officer his first name Wayne and yes he mentioned they had in 87 3- Dark Gray SSPs ordered and all 3 were automatics one of the 3 was T-Boned and totaled so just the 2 remained.. they had the passenger seat removed and had a frame/guard to run a criminal straight to the back seat.. also spoke with the mechanic no promises but Larry was going to try and get me some additional intel.. the info might be purged but i think i am on the right track.. gonna call the Anacortes TX PD.. to see what they had..

Both cars in the group of two went to WA state in May 1987. The first one (this one) had registration events starting in 1996 and up until 2012, all in WA. The second one had registration events also starting in 1996 and up until 2003, also all in WA.

I checked if it would have been a possibility that the third (that was reportedly wrecked in service) was consecutive with the two already in the VIN Project, but not reported because it may have not had any "records", but that's a no go...

HF168929 is a 2.3L LX hatchback
HF168932 is a GT hatchback
