Ken-to my knowledge they didn't use the MX5000, only the M100, MX3000 and TS-2 (Turbo Scan) with some Uniden MR8100 installs in the later cars, '92 and '93s. In the photos, unit #5392 has a Uniden mounted in the stock radio area.

Looks like a dual gun mount in #5392. Probably held a Ruger Mini-14 with the unit being stationed in a rural area:



That's the first shot I've seen of one in a Mustang.

man didnt see 895333 that would have been my car i have now i found the out of service sign still in the window yesterday.

One of the CHP crown vics my dad got (still has all the decals on it ) still had the out of service signs in it. I was happy cause now my dad and I can use them when we get our police cars restored, maybe take the signs and have them copied too.
