Yes, on those first-year SMPVs the CHP switched out the 6" black-headed spotlights for 5" ones, and painted them body color for a more stealthy appearance.

This one is the final SSP Mustang to roll through CHP Motor Transport -




I saw in my notes that the car's unit number is E881517 (is that right, MikeC?). If so, then we know the VIN of this car though our collective efforts in the VIN Project:

Since adding it to the Project, this car was last smogged in October 2013. It's still on the road gentlemen, and may end up on Craigslist/eBay someday.

Yes, it's E881517.

BTW, the owner of the "Last Mustang" knows exactly what he has so if it ever shows up for sale don't expect any bargains.
