Default Four 85/86 wheels w/ Four NOS 86 Chrome Caps

Not my listing. Seller is asking $2,300 for the set, plus $320 for shipping. That's $655 per wheel!

Haha Andy! Someday they may go for that price, but today is not that day.

Someone will pay it for them. Just like they will buy an SSP now for $30 - $35k.

I think it might be the same guy who listed them last month on FB. Looks like they didn't sell then.

I've been out of the game a long time... but those look like Escort caps to me. Don't seem near deep enough to clear the front hub, maybe just angle of pic? Part # doesn't match either. E6EC-1A097-BA, I'd have to dig around to find my Escort caps to see if numbers match.

Edit. Just checked...can't believe those caps were where I put them years ago! Those are Escort caps, part number matches

In my experience years ago the wheels while rare, weren't that terrible to find...the real center caps were a major bitch though.

Nice catch! Someone is gonna be disappointed (if they are willing to buy them for that price!)

Hopefully any potential buyer checks forum first. The seller may not even know they aren't the correct ones. The wheels while nice, not having the correct caps makes it not a good deal at all.
