Default Matt Farah buys a ex-CHP SSP

All, I ran across this video on another website I frequent and thought I'd pass it along. For those who don't know who Matt Farah is, he co-hosted the short lived "The Car Show" with Adam Carolla and he has his own youtube channel called The Smoking Tire and he does videos for the Drive channel on Youtube. He recently restored a DeLorean DMC-12 and its awesome. Just thought all of you guys would enjoy the video.

The car was originally red (EVOC? or not a real SSP?) and it did have AC from factory (the buyer said "no AC", but you can see the AC selector knob and I doubt CHP would buy a car without AC).

The CHP ordered all of 'em with a/c. The previous owner deleted it and, as mentioned in the vid, painted the engine compartment sheet metal red in anticipation of doing the whole car.

I did some research on this '88 SSP. The VIN is 1FABP40E8JF281976, but I have not been able to confirm it as a CHP unit. If anyone can, have at it.

The latest video tells of it's fate...the race track. Getting an IRS and heading to Maximum Motorsports soon.

Yes, I saw the video. He tells how the brakes were gone after three laps. Bill here is another for the VIN project.
