Bill - I totally know the feeling. As you know, I have my own 85 CHP, and I really want to see it finished and keep it, but also realize I have been saying this since 2011. Other things are so much higher on the priority scale which is why I loosely posted mine as well. I keep thinking...it's been 4 years I have had this and still have not touched it? Yikes. :( Couple that with 2 more project SSPs ahead of it. (I know...different situation...and yes, I came to terms I am a car hoarder).
Although...I do agree with Andy and Michael that keeping it would probably eliminate the "wish I had not sold it" aspect later. Especially since your car is sooooo much more rare. Since you have the space, and they are not costing $$ now - might be a good project in 2-3 years. Tough decisions. It's being offered at a GREAT price - and someone really should snap this up to bring her back to life. What a great start you have done. GLWS! |
Cool history in this one, GLWS.

Bump! I have placed this car for sale on FEP (now offered at $6,000)...
http://vb.foureyedpride.com/showthre...l-SMPV-E408383 ...and will give that a shot for a while. I may eventually try Craigslist too, but I am quite hesitant to do so for fear of the car ending up in the wrong hands. |
I have now obtained clear Delaware titles in my name for both cars. I had a DMV inspector come out to the house this week to verify the VIN of the SMPV. With the completed form from him I was able to get a "U-title" from Delaware DMV, which means the car is titled but not registered (same as the 85 GT). The SMPV title does not show "prior police" like the one from California though. :( I did make a copy of the California title before turning it in, so that can go with the documentation on the car when it is sold. :)

Bumpity-bump! Somebody needs to make me an offer on these that I will later regret accepting! :p

this may sound shellfish on my part but the worst thing that could happen to this forum is that you sell out and go silent. again ...Hope all is good with you. |
I agree 110% with Andy... That would be disastrous for the forum...

ANDY! :D 'Good to hear from you. Don't worry, gentlemen. I have no plans to go anywhere (at least in terms of this site). I enjoy the members and connections made here, and the VIN Project is something of which I am very proud. I do enjoy the SSP Mustangs, so you never know what I may end up with down the road. ;)

Would make a great project for somebody. I got my hands full already.

I would love to see that car done. I think it's a really neat car.
