Does anyone know what is the correct hardware that was used to mount the 1985 plastic licence plate (front mount )to the car
 ? I have asked the Ford dealer and they dont have records on that at my dealer. Rivits? Bolts?

I bought an 80 and 84 Mustang new and they both had galvanized steel front plate mounts held in place with hex head screws. I also bought my 1986 GT convertible new and it has the plastic front plate mount held in place with hex head screws as well (like the ones that are included to hold the plate to the mount). I believe the dealer installed the front plate mount and some dealers may have used screws instead of the rivets they came with. I think all 85-93 Mustangs came with a plastic front plate mount.
