The unit # looks to be the same ??? If you need i can measure it ?
Your unit # have the black outline ? I have a couple of troopers that are gonna dig up some old inservice pics??? I think one of them drove an 83 since new ? will keep you posted .  CSP Cruise Day  fleet dept

Font is the same, but the black outline on the numbers is a little different. The STATE PATROL looks a little thicker as well. I'm not 100% if mine was PATROL or TROOPER; I have pics of both.
Tpr David Harper drove my car...and I have talked with him (he sent me pics of the car, as did Ron). The other Tpr was Dennie Hancock. David reached out to Hancock for me but didn't have much luck. I would have really liked to make the show...glad you got to go.

Whoa! My '83 GL hatchback had those exact hub caps! It was missing one so I got rid of the remaining three. If I only knew... That was almost twenty years ago.
