The seller's website has add'l photos, which includes a 1985 (wrong year) Ford Special Equipment Parts List for the CHP order, and a build sheet.

http://spudsgarage.com/vehicles/89Fo...dex.htm#detail

The DSO on the build sheet is hard to read, so it may or may not be the correct one for this car.

Build sheet is not for that car. It is for a 1986 CHP.

Engine code shown on the build sheet is M, meaning 1984-86. Muffler part number on build sheet starts with 6. DSO on build sheet looks to be 72-0081, which is a known 1986 CHP special order number. Check digit shown on the build sheet is 5 so it could be any of these 14 VINs:

1FABP26M5GF246906
1FABP26M5GF246923
1FABP26M5GF246937
1FABP26M5GF246940

If the Carfax is correct, there's definitely more to this story. THI hold, involved in something other along with the crash, etc. etc. It seems like far too long for them to hold onto it otherwise.

more than likely rear ended rear bumper cover does not have a sticker that is painted over or visible under rear bumper
