Main ones are under fenders. Very hard to see bewitch a flashlight look through opening in front of splash shields (fender liners) about a foot and a half from front edge of fenders (on the bottom side) easier if fender liners are off.

Wow, the complete VIN is stamped on the transmission and engine block? Interesting.
Can anyone direct me where to look for the VIN on these components? Thank you, Bert |

No, only a partial VIN on the engine and trans. Same for the tags on the inner fenders and the buck tag. Only place you will find a full VIN is the plate on the upper firewall (visible through windshield), the door tag, and the sticker on all of the major body panels (1987+ only).

VIN on engine block is on the flat pad behind the (lower) intake manifold
VIN on the T-5 manual trans -- I haven't been able to find one on the AOD yet -- is on the passenger side of the main case, where it bolts to the clutch housing |
