Time to sell my car seeing as I haven't driven it in over a year. I'm buying another SSP Monday so time to move on. The car is listed on eBay and I would appreciate if someone could post the link.
Thanks
Gary

Thanks, someone is going to get a turn key SSP that needs nothing but the equipment installed. I have reserve set at about $4000.00 less than what I have into it and if it doesn't sell I'll prep it for long term storage till the market improves.

Do you have equipment for it or is it up to the new owner to supply?

I think I have all the equipment which is included in the price. The Motorola Micor, the magnetic red light the attaches above the passenger side visor ( the metal plate is still attached to the inner roof ), NOS wigwag module, radio head set, siren controller & light controller. If it sells, someone is getting a hell of a deal.

I looked at that auction and I agree....someone is getting one HELL of a deal!

When you figure I bought the car for about $6500.00 2 years ago and paid $1200.00 shipping, I had $7700.00 into it before restoration. Add $4500.00 for paint without everythink else and.........................

You're preaching to the chior here....I own a restoration shop and you couldn't duplicate that car for the same money. The problem is that a LOT fewer people right now are making purchases that could be considered a "luxury" because of the impending election and economy....just have to ride it out....

Yes I agree, the market is soft right now and its a buyers market, but at least I got a great deal on my new SSP!!;)

dang that's a sale now you putting up 500 bucks for shipping

SSPGARY

Ya, I figured I would throw in a $500.00 shipping credit to get the bidding up from a wopping $1.00 seeing as its still stuck there after 50 hours. My wife just told me I can keep the car now if it doesn't sell ( seeing as I just bought her a $4500.00 sewing machine  ). It was an expensive gamble but it worked!!!! Now I hope it doesn't sell.

$1.00 is just fine. The condition was also me not being able to cancel the auction ( she knows me well after 26 years ).

just curious how much does that twilight blue paint cost for a car?

My material cost for each car is usually about the $1000.00 mark which includes thinners, primer, sandpaper, base, clear, etc. I'm guessing MK is about the same as any other metallic B/C.

Alot better but it still has a bit to go to meet reserve. I might even drop reserve to just get rid of it and free up some space. If anyone here is interested, PM me and I'll give you a hell of a deal.;)

$10,899 - and one bid from hitting reserve - wow. Gary, you going to keep it afterall? I can't believe $100 stood in the way from the high bidder taking it. NICE car.

That just shows the high bidder wasn't serious or legit. That's a crying shame....that was a bargain at that price. Just goes to show the market conditions right now with our economy. Just like that '84 FHP car that the guy keeps trying to sell....some bargains out there for sure.

I think if the car was in the US it would have sold. Shipping from Canada to the US is very expensive but I guess I was meant to keep the car. Definitely a buyers market right now.

If it is so small, the difference, why not offer the highest bidder a second chance offer. Beats spending another $X Grand on the hoist. My .02 but good luck with what ever you feel is best for you and the car.
