literally one of the classic crappy things to say to someone when they lose a friend or family member

he is now in Heaven with the Lord
that is a good thing. Sorry if you did not
understand the term better place.

Saying "there in a better place now" is the worst thing you could say to a grieving person.
why?

First of all I don't care if you have a religion or not saying "they're in a better place now" is the most asshole thing to say to a grieving person because implies that the person who is dead is now "in a better place now" which look even if that is true do you really think that the person who just lost a loved one wanted that person to get ripped away from them? The same with the person that died do you think they wanted to die that day? Do you think they wanted to get ripped away from their family and friends? No just no.
