Given the cost of restoration and the "appearance" of this car as car as presented in the auction with actually looking at the car, I still stand by my opinion that "I" think the car is not overpriced!
Mike,

"We" can read and already know that "you" were involved in the discussion there. I don't think anyone "here" said that the car was overpriced.

Seriously though, I hope it goes to a good home.

Jim made some good points....a car is worth what someone is willing to pay, and we all have our individual reasons why a particular car appeals to us, whether it's option content, agency, or something more personal.

Mike,

I realize that nobody here at .net said the car was overpriced and that was not my intention to indicate that anyone on .net did say it was high. It seems to me that most everyone on .net "may" share my opinion on the cars BIN price.

My original and subsequent posts on .org were to "learn" why I was the only one on that board who thought the car had a reasonable BIN on Ebay when the other posters thought the BIN was high.

It's OK, Mike...all in fun here.

You know what they say about opinions....

My experience, preference and opinion on the 'most desirable':

Plus

1. 5 Speed......................3 Points
2. Marked, tu-tone State Agency.....2 Points
3. While I prefer 87-93....85-86 are very desirable to many. 1 Point 87-93
4. Service documentation...the more....the better. up to 3 Points
5. Low Availability of that Agency's car....1 Point

Minus

1. Single color cars 1 Point
2. Local/Federal Agency use 1 Point
3. Unmarked 1 point

Based on that I would rate a marked 87-93 CHP, FHP, TX with documentation and good availability 9
.....a marked GSP/NV a 10
.....marked monotone 5 spd an 7
.....unmarked auto a 6

IMO...the more categories of the above you cover with an SSP...the more it is worth. Yes..there are exceptions. My old GSP (Lisa Sams) was an AOD...but a restored GSP is RARE....and that color combo unique....and the best looking IMO. The NV car I am working on will probably fit into a similar category. Your EVOC car is in a class of its own. My old PA SSP was one of only 11 unmarked PA automatics used. I have owned a total of 16 SSP's and based the above on my experience, opinion, sales and preference. Ask youself...how easily and how long could you take to find or replace a particular car. Can you easily find another in a few months...or could it be years.

Lots of consideration needed and each persons preference will vary...but this is what I have found.......this is MY preference...not a rating standard for every SSP or everybody. Each person has their preference...this is mine and what I like.

I think "steep" was the word first used. There was talk of a replacement dash (this car has the original), FHP re-paint (FHP didn't re-paint anything in the '90s that I ever saw), etc. etc. etc.

The original "points"-post has now been edited, also.

Bottom line: It's a 93K original-mile FHP car. I can't remember the last time I saw an FHP car for sale that was as original as this one appears to be (with this kind of mileage).
