jim, you did a great job on it.

i just can't justify paying a flipper that kind of money.
everyone is entitled to make a buck, i could see maybe 1000 or so over what he paid, but 5K for not doing anything to the car is crazy!
maybe two or three years ago he may have been able to do that, but not with this economy
The car sold for more than $16,000.00 when I purchased car.NODRAMA .you did a very good job on 9067.
I am very pleased with the car ,doesn't have to be sold. Clutch and pressure plate has been installed since purchased. As far as a buy it now price verses a best offer.Bring on your offers ,you might be surprised. BSNAKE

yes Bearsnake I know the clutch was replaced. I also know you did not replace it .........Marcos did in Florida. I also know how much you paid for the car when you purchased it as I am friends with the person (Marcos) you bought it from.

Thank you for your compliments on the car. I hope whomever buys it does so to give it a good home, not keep it a couple of months and try to flip it for more money. Good luck with the sale.

Stubes, thanks again for your compliments. I put over 900 hours into the car, prolly should have kept it.

I think Bernie should be substituted with Marcos as I read the thread backwards...not sure how that change happened from Jim's original refrence to Marcos.

To clear things up on the clutch. When I took the trany out, the clutch pressure plate was in as new condition as one could get. NoDrama did not drive the car much. What was wrong was the shaft sleeve was split and the clutch fork was worn as well as the bearing. I took pictures of what I had fixed on the car.

The car is still a great looking car and I enjoyed it much. NoDrama (Jim Y.) did a close to perfect restoration of the car and it is worth every penny it deserved or sells for.

I am against flipping the car for 5K in such a short time but then again, it is no longer my car and if someone buys it for 21k than more power to the seller. I two hope it stays with the SSP community.

see what happens when you work a 14 hour day and deal with two suicides and a child custody situation from hell? I meant to say Marcos not Bernie. I get those two characters mixed up sometimes in my old age. I have sold cars to them both and at least they are from the same state.....

yes this is the mousepad car however I have never heard it referenced as that...... Leave it to Andrew to remind me of THAT !!
