Default FHP-1422...I now have 2 Troop B cars

My DHSMV report for the '85 showed up today...$350 damage to the car after someone backed into it sometime during the night while it was parked in front of the trooper's house. Funny thing is that it's also a Troop B car, and it served in Ocala. 1 from Gainesville (Go Gators) and now the '85 from 25 minutes south.

I'll call tomorrow and see about the pics.

Great that you slipped in at the last minute. I, unfortunately, procrastinated too long and will likely never know a true unit number. At least, in my case, many '85's did not have roof numbers. Anxious to see what pictures may turn up.

I highly doubt that the reports are gone for good. I was told that they were being packed up and moved to a different location; not being destroyed. Civil cases surrounding crashes can drag on for years, and I can't see them round filing the reports after 7.

I was getting subpoenaed for a civil trial in 2003 for a crash that occurred in 1993. Guy was suing the state for a drainage-related roadway issue after flipping his SUV in the rain...only reason I even remembered the crash is because an assault rifle flew out of the truck and I had to put it into evidence for safekeeping for him.

I think we overwhelmed the state workers with all of our requests.
