Thanks Mike, I think I'm more fond of finding a SSP project car than one already finished. The challenge really sounds exciting of rebuilding one to spec. I am trying to gather as much information as I possibly can on the cars. The tough part will be finding a true KHP car. There werent anywhere near the volume of Blue and Gray cars out there that Missouri had.
I looked recently at the site you sent me a link on. He had a KHP mustang he turned into a FL car. I don't think he has it anymore.
I do have some ideas of equipment from photos I've seen.
The dash were Federal Firebeams in red with mirrors. No spotlights. Amber round flashing lights in back. I do not know if the rear trunk deck was labeled with "state trooper" like some of the sedans or not. The radio is a motorola, but I don't know what kind. The radar was Kustom signal, from Chanute. Looks like the Hawk or Trooper model. I cant tell which. The rest of the equipment I am in the dark about.
I'm sure in time...I will figure it out.
