Engine Compartment Detailing??

That's a tough one. When I clean my engine compartment, I dose it down with engine degreaser and spray it with a pressure washer. If you don't have a pressure washer you can take it to the local car wash and do it, but you aren't suppose to there. But with the engine degreaser you have to be careful and not get any on the exterior paint. I have gotten it on my paint before and not had any problems, but with your paint being new it may cause some issues. Sorry I wasn't more help.
