also I notice no radio information on the Marti Report for the 83. Does that imply it came with the standard radio? The door tag is damaged so I cannot see the radio code. I would assume the standard radio would be FM only?

any thoughts??

Cool. Probably ended up being a little less than that, per what Mick put.

I'm thinking AM only.

yep I was think AM only unless the standard radio was AM/FM mono. I will need to find an 83 sales brochure to figure that out. I think I have an 83 AM only on the shelf though.

looked at the brochure and standard radio was the am mono. My AM only radio is an 85-86. The radio in the 83 currently is am/fm so I will be looking for the AM radio for it.

Yes, standard radio in '83 was AM (mono). Also in '84 (exc. SVO). Starting in '85 is when the AM/FM stereo radio became standard.

What throws me is, before '85, even though there was a "standard" radio, some cars had no radio code, not even the code for radio credit.
