Well to me it looks like the manual peddle and not the auto anybody else?

Looks like a worn auto pedal pad. The manual has empty space on both sides of the "lines".

It's an auto pedal. Manual pedals are probably 1/4 smaller width wise.

Well things are starting to add up now ! When I looked at the engine pic, ( next to last pic at bottom row ), I couldn't help but notice the row of solenoids mounted by the frame rail ? Then I looked at the breather lid that said " 4V H.O. and looked at the frame rail again ????
In 1985 there were no V8 4 barrel automatic cars produced; if the car was a 5.0. automatic, then it would have been CFI, (Central Fuel Injection), and would of had that row of solenoids that appear in the pic. So my guess is that it is factory 5.0. automatic car with the wrong breather top on it...... just my 2 cents.

Good eye on the solenoids. Didn't even think to look for details like that. Now I notice the distributor has a TFI module attached.
